ABOUT US:
The Diablo Vista Middle School Foundation is a parent-run, nonprofit organization dedicated to raising funds to supplement our children’s public school education. The DVMS Foundation was founded when the school opened and is dedicated to raising funds for the primary purpose of reducing class size.

WHY DO WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT?
The Foundation’s primary goal is class size reduction. This benefits every child at Diablo Vista. While the smaller class size improves the quality of education, the State of California does not provide funding for class size reduction in middle school – grades 6 through 8. With your assistance, the Foundation provides funds to reduce average class size in the core academic classes from 34:1 to 30:1.

FUNDRAISER:
Annual Donation Drive: The ONLY contribution the DVMS Foundation requests is the suggested per child donation. We ask that you donate during our spring campaign so that staffing decisions for the fall can be made. You will not be asked to donate at registration if we receive your donation prior to registration.

Corporate Matching: In case you didn’t know, many companies will match any donation you make to the DVMS Foundation (yes, this is FREE money for our school!). If you are unsure about matching funds, just supply us with your Human Resource department contact, and we will be more than happy to research this for you. eScrip: Simply by registering your Safeway, credit, debit, and/or Macy’s cards on eScrip’s secure website you could be earning free money for DVMS every time you shop! There is no charge to you for participating and your information will not be sold by eScrip. This is a great way to help the school raise funds for class size reduction. Consignment For Schools: We now have a link to the Consignment For Schools website giving our parents another way to make donations to the Foundation. Consignment For Schools sells the neglected, quality items lying around your home or office. Ten percent of the selling price (or more if you want) goes directly to the Diablo Vista Middle School Foundation. The remainder is shared between you and Consignment For Schools. HOW CAN YOU HELP?
This year, the state’s reduction in education funds has forced our district and our school to rely more heavily on the parents and the community for support. In order to maintain the staffing levels that Diablo Vista has offered in the past, the Foundation needs your $325 contribution to reduce class size across all three grade levels.
