ABOUT US
The Diablo Vista Middle School Foundation is a 501(c)3 parent-run, non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds to supplement our children's public school education. The DVMS Foundation was founded when the school opened in 2000, and is dedicated to raising funds for the primary purpose of reducing class size.
WHY DO WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT?
The Foundation’s primary goal is class size reduction. This benefits every child at Diablo Vista. While the smaller class size improves the quality of education, the State of California does not provide funding for class size reduction in middle school – grades 6 through 8. With your assistance, the Foundation provides funds to reduce average class size in the core academic classes from 34:1 to 30:1.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
This year, the state’s reduction in education funds has forced our district and our school to rely more heavily on the parents and the community for support. In order to maintain the staffing levels that Diablo Vista has offered in the past, the Foundation needs your $325 contribution to reduce class size across all three grade levels.
